Home Owners Interested in Home Staging, Homes Sell Faster and for More Money

What is home staging® ?
Home staging® is the "curb to closet" preparation of a property for sale. Staging® your home begins with a written home staging® plan that covers all the details, including repairs, landscaping and step-by-step, curb-to-closet, room-by-room suggestions that will make your property stand out in a crowded marketplace. At Nuances we have a team that, if you choose, will get the work done for you and an inventory of items available for rental or purchase that can add to your home's appearance.

Does home staging® work?
Yes! A home that is professionally staged® is more likely to sell at a higher price, and more quickly, than a home that is not staged.® The majority of staged® homes sell well within 60 days, and many sell much sooner. On average, staged® homes sell for approximately 10 percent more than homes that are not staged.®

When should I contact Nuances?
Ideally, home staging® should occur before your property even goes on the market. The first few weeks your home is on the market is when there is the most activity. This is when the majority of real estate brokers and buyers will come to see your home. You want to take advantage of this early interest by having your home look its best.

How will my realtor® and Nuances work together?
Your realtor® will probably be eager to have Nuances involved, because while we're working together to stage® your home, your realtor® can concentrate on what he or she needs to do: market your home for sale. We work with your realtor® throughout the process. Cape Cod realtors® are increasingly enthusiastic about what Nuances brings to the process. We become part of the team that is committed to helping you sell your home.

What is the difference between an accredited staging® professional and an interior designer?
Accredited staging® professionals have been trained in the real estate market, space utilization, the psychology of buyers and sellers, as well as interior design. Interior designers focus on preparing the home for the current homeowner to live in; home staging® professionals prepare the home, curb to closet, with the buyer in mind. This is critical to a successful sale!

I wasn't intending to spend money on a home I'm trying to sell. Is home staging® worth it?
Home staging® has been proven, time and time again, to be a great return on investment. For every $100 you invest in staging® your home, you typically will receive at least five times that amount in an offer.

Can't I just tidy up the house myself?
The process of staging® a home for sale is much more comprehensive than just "tidying up." In staging® your home, we consider everything that matters to potential buyers, who are looking for a home that conveys a sense of space, order, comfort and light. We give you an honest assessment of what it will take to stage® your home for a successful sale.

What will it cost to hire Nuances?
Costs vary according to the home staging® plan we develop for you, as well as the degree to which you choose to implement our recommendations. You may choose to hire Nuances for the staging® plan alone. But once the plan is defined, we can get the job done for you, whether it's making repairs, depersonalizing the home or hauling away clutter. In most cases, the cost of staging® your house will be a fraction of the cost of your first price reduction. It's a great feeling to know that your home is fully prepared to sell!
